Where you are part of a family, not an institution.
Aspen Hill’s logo is a design of three aspen trees representing the three children of Vicky Newman - Stephen, Stephanie and Sean. This symbol is a reminder to her children, their families, and future generations of their responsibility to each other and to the families they serve at Aspen Hill.
Ms. Newman started Aspen Hill Assisted Living with the help of her family and it remains a family directed Assisted Living Home. Vicky is a nurse with a passionate caring for seniors; she works with a small staff of trusted professionals to provide an environment that includes all the necessities of home. She believes this begins in a place that feels like home, creating a sense of family and belonging.
There is a reason why family and belonging are imperative at Aspen Hill. Vicky was raised next door to her grandmother, who was always a joy to her. She would stay with her grandmother most every night until she graduated from high school. Upon graduating, her grandmother made it possible for Vicky to attend nursing school, which Vicky sees as a tremendous gift.
This gift multiplied the love and respect Vicky has for her grandmother and ultimately for all seniors the world over. Nursing instilled the importance of integrity and a deep desire to give exceptional care to those in need. This lead Vicky to build Aspen Hill; to provide crucial assistance and extraordinary care to individuals who need it most.
Vicky has learned that the greatest gift she could give others is an opportunity to do better, just as her grandmother did for her many years earlier. Therefore, at Aspen Hill Assisted Living Communities, we understand the meaning of family and the responsibility of giving back double fold to older adults and seniors. That’s why Aspen Hill strives to attain the highest level of Assisted Living standards for our residents. We understand that there is a sincere obligation to give back to our parents and grandparents who once gave us their all. Our staff is committed to assisting residents with the appropriate love, respect and care they deserve.
Vicky Newman received her license as a Nursing Home Administrator through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, March 2, 1988. However her major emphasis is in nursing, with over 30 years experience in the healthcare profession.

Vicky Newman and her staff received their license as an Assisted Living Home through the state of Virginia on June 12, 2001. Vicky received her Assisted Living Administrator license from the Virginia Board of Long-Term Care Administrators February 26, 2009.
